This mosque, located in the Detroit suburb of Hamtramck, was in the news in 2004 due to a prolonged struggle with City officials and residents to be able to broadcast the adhan over loudspeakers to the surrounding neighborhood. Founded in 2000 by a group of Bangladeshi immigrants.
