Chef Ashraf started Amirah's Grill at Gateway food court in 1997, serving Halal Western cuisines, and opened his first restaurant along Joo Chiat Road in 1998 featuring halal Black Pepper Steak and BBQ Ribs. Eventually, more outlets opened around Geylang Serai and Joo Chiat Road. The 2nd floor is open for private functions with your choice of smoking or non-smoking dining rooms or a balcony corner overlooking the surrounded tall buildings and conservation shop houses with the feel of Arabic culture. Also available: Arabic tea or Laban (Arabic-style yoghurt drink) and Arabic music in the open space just in front of the restaurant, kebabs, Hummus, Moutabel (Lebanese dips), Arabic Fragrance Rice, steaks, ribs and grilled seafood. A Set Lunch is available for $9.90 during weekdays, with additional soup, appetizer, main course & ends with your choice of desserts available for $20. Reservations recommended during weekends.
