Cuckoo Habibi

The name “Cuckoo Habibi” derives from Cairo in Egypt where our chef Moe comes from. “Cuckoo” meaning small bird & “Habibi” meaning my beloved. This is the pet name Moe uses to call his son. The logo comes from an old black and white picture where Moe is close to 3 years old and wearing a cardigan with a bird and chef’s hat knitted on the side. Who knew Moe was going to be a chef? Moe has had a love of food since this young age if you were to ask his mother. This was his first point of learning the secrets of his mothers cooking, going on to learn further skills with training from mentor chefs that had over 30 years experience and then receiving a diploma as a chef in Cairo/Egypt. His experience expanded further as he worked in a number of different governmental departments such as embassies, The Sheraton, The diplomatic club and a-la-carte restaurants in Egypt and Australia. Our team is experienced in all aspects of catering for functions, buffets, cocktail parties, BBQ and lunch/dinner menus. We also cater for any special dietary needs on request.
