Halal Guide to join Geovation accelerator
Aug. 31, 2017

The programme provides one-on-one sessions, workshops, master classes, access to technology and geospatial data, expert advice from industry leaders, and more. The Hub has a creative environment with industry experts around to help nurture ideas. Regular meetings would take place to review progress and the achievement of milestones. Geovation is part of Urban Innovation Centre, a UK government project that aims to help UK businesses turn their innovative ideas into practical solutions for cities around the world. The Centre will help UK’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and other businesses turn their ideas into real solutions for cities across areas such as architecture, engineering, infrastructure, design and digital technology. With the Geovation database containing over 460 million unique geographic features, Halal Guide stands to benefit from this association, helping unlock its commercial potential in the process. Moreover, expansion in the UK would be a stepping stone for Halal Guide into other markets in the European Union, and North America. Halal Guide, created in 2012 by a group of young Muslim entrepreneurs, aims to help the Muslim community on all Halal-related categories, be it food, clothing, tourism, etc. in the form of a mobile app and website. Its footprint exists in Russia, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and expansion plans are on in Western Europe and North American markets. To see the full list of their products, visit
